Recent aerial photo of the old Griesheim Army Airfield (now known as August-Euler-Flugplatz). Although one of the larger Army Airfields in Germany, little is known about it except that it is located at one of the birthplaces of German aviation. Since February 1975, the Army Airfield has also been used by the local Hessen-Flieger flying club. The Army Airfield at Griesheim closed in 1992. (Info courtesy Hanno Englaender.)
