The hangar housing the Mobile 412-L (photo) was Hangar #2, just north of the headquarters building. Hangar #1 was the motor pool and Hangar #3 was simply bombed out. We drove by it every day going to work. Rumor was that there was an entrance to an underground hangar somewhere around Hangar #3 that had housed the ME-262. They had the whole Hangar #3 area fenced off and plastered with off-limits signs. We never went there.
